Serbia's Republic Electoral Commission (RIK) President Vladimir Dimitrijevic said Sunday's snap parliamentary elections were proceeding largely smoothly, despite minor incidents and disputes between polling board members. At polling station No. 25 in Doljevac, voting was briefly suspended after an individual allegedly attempted to vote using multiple identity cards. Police intervened, took a statement and further proceedings are expected. Dimitrijevic also warned that some polling board members had illegally removed curtains from voting booths, stressing that ballot secrecy must be protected.
