Suspected surveillance equipment found at Belgrade Faculty of Law

Technical equipment, suspected of being used for audio and video recording, was discovered inside an emergency exit light above the main door of the largest amphitheatre at the Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade, on Friday, 30 October. According to an official statement issued by the faculty administration, staff alerted the Ministry of Internal Affairs immediately upon finding the devices. Police officers conducted an on-site investigation and seized the equipment for forensic analysis. "What is particularly concerning is that the equipment was found in a room used for first-year undergraduate lectures, study groups, tutorials, and various other academic and non-academic activities," the faculty management noted in the statement.
