Nova: Agency head bypassed procedures to sign degree recognition for RTS DG

The Director of Serbia’s Qualifications Agency, Caslav Mitrovic, bypassed standard procedures to sign a decision recognizing the university degree of now-former Serbian public broadcaster RTS Director-General Manja Grcic, the Nova daily learned. According to the daily, the decision was dispatched directly from the director’s office, circumventing standard protocols and without the knowledge of the employees officially tasked with handling these matters. Nova reported that all traces of the document have been wiped from within the agency itself, leaving no archived copies. However, the original document bearing the director’s signature is currently held by the RTS, while Grcic’s case file remains flagged as “unresolved” in the agency’s database software.
