Retired general says police still under political influence

Retired police general Bogoljub Zivkovic told N1 that the Serbian police is still under political influence. Zivkovic said the influence on the police in recent years was directed by political and informal power centers. He said police operations should be commanded by the police director, department chiefs and unit commanders in line with the law, and that departures from this chain of command were unlawful.
