Students call for community cleanup to restore local neighborhoods after election win

The Student Movement, which won the October 25 snap parliamentary elections under the Student List banner, called on citizens to join a community cleanup initiative targeting local buildings, streets, parks, and graffiti-covered facades. “As you know, our city has undergone changes over the past two years that are far from attractive. That is why we have decided to ask for your help in making our buildings, streets, and parks shine once again. We kindly ask all citizens to contribute a fraction of their time and effort to community service as their means permit, whether in their local neighborhoods or elsewhere in the city,” reads the announcement on the studenti.org.rs website. The students urged volunteers to bring gardening tools, trash bags, saplings, and gloves, as well as flashlights in case the work extends past nightfall.
