Costa to Srdanovic: Form parliament and government quickly

European Council President Antonio Costa told Student List lead candidate Ilija Srdanovic that the forming of parliament and a new government are the priority. “I just had a good phone conversation with Dr Ilija Srdanović. I congratulated him on the Student List’s election victory in Serbia. The priority now is to establish Parliament and the new government without delay, through a peaceful transition and in full respect of the election results,” Costa wrote in an X post. “Serbia’s place is in the European Union. We stand ready to support its European path, with a clear focus on the reforms the Serbian people have called for: the rule of law, the fight against corruption and media freedom,” he added.
