Initiative filed with REM to revoke Informer license

Several civil society, journalists and media organizations submitted an initiative to the Regulatory Authority for Electronic Media (REM) to revoke Informer TV's broadcasting license. Informer TV is known as the fiercest defender of the Vucic regime and its owner and editor Dragan J. Vucicevic and his staff have made offensive comments against Vucic opponents. NUNS said the initiative was in response to what it described as years of systematic violations of the law and programming obligations that REM failed to sanction. It was submitted by civil society organizations, media associations and representatives of journalism departments at universities in Belgrade, Novi Sad and Nis.
