Student List’s Srdanovic: Victory brought freedom

Student List lead candidate Ilija Srdanovic said the list's victory in Sunday's parliamentary election brought freedom to every citizen, including those who voted against it. "We have brought freedom to everyone," he said in an interview for Montenegro's ETV portal, adding that the victory fulfilled the dream of the student movement and young people who protested for almost 2 years. Srdanovic said the list's main priority would be to establish the rule of law, equality, personal and media freedoms, and respect for democratic principles. He said institutions, including the police, prosecution, courts and the electronic media regulator, needed to be freed from political influence.
