HJPC publishes final decision to discontinue proceedings against Ranko Debevec

The High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (HJPC) of BiH has published a decision by its Second-Instance Disciplinary Commission discontinuing proceedings against former president of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina Ranko Debevec. According to the published decision, before the Second-Instance Disciplinary Commission's ruling was served on Debevec, the Council received a letter from him on August 20, 2026, in which he resigned as president and judge of the Court of BiH, Detektor reports. The Second-Instance Disciplinary Commission dismissed as unfounded the respondent’s appeal of July 16, 2026, and upheld the decision of the First-Instance Disciplinary Commission.
