At the proposal of the Ministry of Communications and Transport, the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina has established a draft agreement between the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Government of the Republic of Croatia on border procedures at the Samac–Slavonski Samac (North) and Capljina–Metkovic (South) railway border crossings on the Western Balkans–Eastern Mediterranean European Transport Corridor (formerly the Pan-European Corridor Vc). The agreement aims to address train delays at border crossings along Corridor Vc and ensure smooth and orderly rail traffic, thereby creating conditions for increasing competitiveness and strengthening the role of rail transport in the transport market. Establishing appropriate procedures to speed up border controls at crossings along Corridor Vc is an obligation undertaken by Bosnia and Herzegovina at the 2015 Western Balkans Summit in Paris, as one of the conditions for securing funding for projects in this area.
