FBiH electricity production rises to 534 GWh in September, coal output declines

Gross electricity production in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina totaled 534 GWh in September 2026, compared with 463 GWh in the same month of 2025. Hydropower plants accounted for 31.5 percent of total gross electricity production, thermal power plants for 59.9 percent, and wind power plants for 8.6 percent. Brown coal production in the FBiH totaled 216,984 metric tons in September 2026, compared with 322,292 metric tons in the same month of 2025.
