Macron after shootings near Paris: “A turning point for France, a racially motivated terrorist attack

One person was killed and five others were injured in a shooting attack on the outskirts of Paris. French President Emmanuel Macron described the incident as a “racist terrorist attack”. The suspected attacker has been detained, and authorities have launched an investigation to establish the full circumstances of the case. According to The Guardian, the shootings began on Friday in Trappes before moving to La Verrière, west of Paris. The suspect is believed to have fired shots at several locations within approximately 15 minutes.
